THE CUT LIEUTENANT
DJ Ace - The Cut Lieutenant has been DJing for 35 years. He started DJing at the age of 10 on his mother’s compact stereo. Growing up, U.T.F.O.’s hit song, Roxanne Roxanne and the movie Beat Street (1984) sparked Ace’s interest in pursing a career as a professional DJ.
The DJ's that influenced him the most were: Jam Master Jay, DJ Cheese, Mixmaster Ice, DJ Scratch, Cash Money, Jazzy Jeff, Funk Master Flex, Marley Marl, Red Alert, Richie Rich, Tony Touch, and DJ Premier.
DJ Ace has recently appeared on NY1 and Fox 5 to talk about his journey as a DJ. He was showcased on Funk Master Flex's Five Minutes of Funk series and has DJ’d on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 radio station with Tony Touch and Lord Sear.
He is currently working with LL Cool J on SiriusXM’s Rock the Bells Radio. Ace has also DJ'd several NBA games for the Brooklyn Nets, as well as after parties in the Billboard Lounge at the Barclays Center. DJ Ace will be appearing at an upcoming event called Fittest of the Finest where he will be providing the music.
